Barker Beds Return Policy & 180-Night Sleep Trial

At Barker Beds, we believe better sleep leads to a better life—for both dogs and the people who love them. That’s why every orthopedic mattress comes with our 180-Night Risk-Free Trial. If your dog isn’t loving their bed, we ask that you donate it to a local shelter or rescue—and we’ll refund your purchase in full.

180-Night Mattress Trial – Sleep on It

Your dog has up to 180 nights to try their Barker Bed risk-free. If you're not completely satisfied, we’ll issue a full refund—after the bed is donated to a qualifying animal organization. This policy only applies to orders placed in the contiguous United States.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return under our 180-Night Trial:

  • Returns cannot be initiated within the first 30 days of delivery (excluding special circumstances such as size exchanges).
  • The return request must be initiated within 180 days of delivery.
  • The trial applies to mattresses only (not accessories or custom items).
  • The bed must be in good, donatable condition—no tears, chewed corners, heavy staining, or odors.
  • Customers must donate the bed to a registered nonprofit animal shelter, rescue, or foster organization.
  • A photo of the donated bed and a copy of the donation receipt (with organization name, Tax ID, and date) must be submitted to complete your return.
  • Please do not donate the bed before being contacted by our customer service team and sent a donation form. Beds donated before being reviewed by our team may not be eligible for a refund.

Why Donate? Many dogs in shelters go without comfortable bedding. Your return helps provide better rest for a pup in need.

Embroidered & Custom Items – Final Sale

Items customized with embroidery or other personalized options like BarkerChill+ (cooling upgrade/KULKOTE) are final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange. Please review all custom text carefully before ordering.

Refund Process

Once we receive your donation confirmation, including:

  1. A photo of the donated bed at the shelter/rescue.
  2. A receipt or acknowledgment from the organization (with name, date, location, and Tax ID).

...we’ll issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

How to Start a Return

  2. We’ll confirm eligibility and guide you through the donation process.
  3. Donate the bed to a local animal welfare group of your choice.
  4. Send us a photo of the donation and a receipt or written acknowledgment.
  5. Receive your refund!

We do not accept physical returns. Our donation model helps reduce waste and supports shelters across the country.

Additional Notes

  • One trial-based return is allowed per household.
  • Orders placed via third-party retailers must follow their respective return policies.
  • International orders are not eligible for donation-based returns at this time.
